Hi there readers! It’s been a long time since we last spoke. In my first post of 2021, I decided to talk about something I love- reading. I don’t know about you but I get the itch to read more during summers. Maybe because the days are long and you want to sip on ice tea and read books all night. After a long dry spell of me not reading thrillers, I came across 3 good ones that forced me to jump right back in the genre.

1. The Therapist by B A Paris

Three words to describe this book: Oh my god! The twists and turns in this book will keep you on your toes till the last page. I was aware of my heart beating so fast as I was reading it, I thought I would die thanks to all the suspense. I loved the characters, the plot and everything that is there in this book. I highly recommend it for those people who tend to predict the endings of a story quite precisely. I thought I was good at predicting things too until I read this mind boggler.

I would rate this book 5/5

Here’s a short summary of the book:

When Alice and Leo move into a newly renovated house in The Circle, a gated community of exclusive houses, it is everything they’ve dreamed of. But appearances can be deceptive…

As Alice is getting to know her neighbours, she discovers a devastating secret about her new home, and begins to feel a strong connection with Nina, the therapist who lived there before.

Alice becomes obsessed with trying to piece together what happened two years before. But no one wants to talk about it. Her neighbors are keeping secrets and things are not as perfect as they seem…

2. Bring Me Back by B A Paris

Another one from the same author simply because she’s amazing. I like her other works too but this is the latest one I have read. I would say this isn’t as exciting as The Therapist but it still has enough elements to make it a good thriller. The ending like always is mind blowing. The author keeps you guessing as to what is happening. I personally found the main character to be a bit annoying but his character development kept me interested in what he had to say or think. If you are looking to read something out of the box, I would say stop looking. This will be your cup of tea for sure.

I would rate this 3.5/5

Here’s a short summary of the book:

The million copy bestselling author returns with a breath-taking thriller
The disappearance
The suspicion
The fear
The Disappearance
Twelve years ago Finn’s girlfriend disappeared.
The Suspicion
He told the police the truth about that night.
Just not quite the whole truth.
The Fear
Now Finn has moved on.
But his past won’t stay buried.

3. The Murder Game by Rachel Abbott

This one is by my all time favourite author. You can pick any of her works and you won’t be disappointed at all. She’s just brilliant.

I recommend this book because of its unique storyline. It has really interesting characters as well and the plot never seems to get boring. Half way through the book you will feel as if you are the main character stuck in this crazy world of murders and murderers. Those who like crime solving shows will definitely like this.

I would rate this book 5/5

Here’s a short summary of the book:

A year ago today, we all gathered for Lucas’s wedding at his glorious Cornish home overlooking the sea.

Now Lucas has invited us back to celebrate the anniversary. But the anniversary of what? The wedding that never happened, or the tragedy that occurred just hours before the ceremony was due to begin?

But no one was married that day.

He’s told us that tonight he has planned a game. We have our costumes, we have our parts, and everyone must play. The game, he tells us, is about to begin.

Thanks to these books I am back to reading this genre with my teddy bear and will continue to share the ones that I really liked.

Have you read these books before? What did you think of them? Or tell me about the ones you are currently reading. Would love new suggestions!

Cheers x
